A Little Bit About Me…

I have always known that I would be described as a “creative” personality. Maybe this is from being an only child or maybe this is who I would have been if I’d had a houseful of siblings. I think that I could easily be labeled as ADHD. I think that this has been something that I created unintentionally as an adult. Like many other women, I have had years of feeling internal pressure to be “productive” “busy” … you know… the queen of multitasking. What does this have to do with photography I am sure that you are thinking??? Well… I have learned that I get bored easily. I get distracted easily. I love learning new things, but I battle perfectionism. I have dabbled in pretty much every area of photography at some point with the goal of learning as much as I can about the craft as possible. Through all of this I have learned what I truly love and what I do not.

I get totally zoned in and lose all track of time & distractions when in the midst of something that I love. I enjoy overcoming challenges that come up during a shoot. Things that I have to “figure out” in order for the end result to be what I had in my mind are fun to me. I have also found that there is nothing better than seeing the look of surprise and pleasure on someone’s face when allowing a peak at the back of my camera during a shoot.

I know that we all walk around with cameras in our hands 24/7 now. We live in a world that is bombarded with a constant flow of images. I want my images to stop you from scrolling. This is a passion pursuit. I have no plans to schedule every photography opportunity out there. I want to do things that truly bring me joy and I want to do them with clients who chose me because they stopped scrolling. In all of your choices in life, you choose what you are drawn to and who or what fits your needs. Choosing a photographer is no different. There is no one person fits all. If you think that we would be a great fit, I’d love to hear from you and plan something scroll stopping.
